TOKİ, which built the world’s third-longest wall along the Syrian border, is now constructing 21 “watchtowers” (called kulekols) that are 15 meters tall and 7 meters in diameter to monitor the border line. Following the completion of the 688-kilometer-long wall on the Turkey-Syria border and the commencement of the 144-kilometer-long wall on the Iran border, the construction of watchtowers — each 15 meters high and 7 meters in diameter — has begun.
